Cybertruck Vinyl Wrap Kits – Q&A

What is a TESBROS DIY Cybertruck Wrap?

An affordable DIY pre-cut premium vinyl kit with the instructions and tools to successfully wrap your Cybertruck in whatever color or design you’d like.

What is included in your kit?

The kit will include pre-cut vinyl for all the exterior panels of the Tesla Cybertruck, a special prep kit to clean your Cybertruck, a heat gun, squeegee set, tucking tools, an installation reference guide, and step-by-step video installation instructions.

Do I need any experience?

Our DIY kits are designed with beginners in mind. You do not need prior knowledge to install these kits.

Is it difficult to wrap my Cybertruck?

Compared to other Tesla models, the Cybertruck is flatter, which makes it much easier to apply vinyl. We’ve been developing DIY vinyl kits for the past 5 years, and we’ve learned a lot on how to make it easier for beginners to apply.

Do I have to disassemble parts of the car to apply the wrap?

You will have to remove your side mirrors. Our course explains how to properly remove it, and it’s designed to be fairly easy.

How will I know that the pre-cut vinyl pieces will properly fit my Cybertruck?

The design and instructions are precise, aligning and adhering exactly to the stainless steel panels of the Cybertruck.

How long does it take to install a complete wrap?

For beginners, we anticipate it will take between 8 to 16 hours.

How long will the Cybertruck wrap last?

Our vinyl from Avery is rated to last 5 years but can last up to 10 years if well-maintained.

How much does DIY wrapping cost compared to professional services?

It’s hard to say how much each wrap shop will charge since that will depend on the geographic location, but if we were to average the national cost, our wraps will be less than half the cost of doing it at a wrap shop.

I overstretched the vinyl. What can I do?

Vinyl is memory-based, so if you just heat it, it will revert to its original state. Use the heat gun provided and keep the heat moving in the area. You’ll see it shrink back.

How do I use a heat gun when applying vinyl?

When using heat, don’t stay in one area. Keep your gun moving and roughly 6 inches away from the vinyl.

What finishes do you offer?

Our Cybertruck wraps are available in gloss, matte, and satin finishes. We also have some specialty wraps, such as color flow and texture.

What colors are TESBROS wraps available in?

Choose from over 100 colors from Avery. 3M colors available upon request.

Will there be custom prints available for the Cybertruck Wrap?

Yes, we have full printing capabilities, so we’ll be able to turn your vision into reality. We will also offer our own exclusive custom prints.

What wrap brands to you offer?

Avery Dennison, and 3M upon request.

Will the wrap damage my Cybertrucks finish?

No. The Cybertruck is indestructible (sort of) so a vinyl will not damage the surface. We only use top brands like Avery, so removal will be much easier if you decide to switch back to stainless steel or wrap it in a different color.

What happens if I damage one of my panels?

Not a problem at all! Oopsies happen, so you can purchase the individual panel from us.

Can I wrap my leased Cybertruck?

Absolutely. The wrap can be removed without harming the Cybertruck, so it won’t be a problem to wrap it even when leased.

Will my wrap fade under the sun?

Our kits are made with high-quality vinyl from Avery (or 3M if you request it), so it will not fade under the sun.

How often should I clean my wrapped Cybertruck?

This depends on the individual, but we recommend cleaning at least once every two weeks. Bird droppings, tar, and bug guts should be wiped down quickly so it doesn’t etch the vinyl. We recommend using a quick detailer like our waterless wash to clean areas that might stain in between regular washes.

How do I clean my wrapped Cybertruck?

We recommend using the two bucket method with our biodegradable, pH neutral car wash shampoo to safely clean the wrapped Cybertruck. This will help preserve the longevity of the vinyl wrap. Learn more about how to take care of your wrap here.

Can I go through an automatic car wash?

It’s recommended only to hand wash your Tesla. If the automatic car wash is brushless, they tend to use heavy chemicals to break things down, which can be harmful to the vinyl. If the car wash has brushes, it can scratch the vinyl with debris trapped in the bristles.

What if I have a stain on my wrap?

You can use our waterless cleaner to wipe away the stain with our waterless microfiber. This will get rid of the stain without scratching the surface. If the stain is persistent, we recommend spraying it down with a pressure washer about 12 inches away to remove the stain.

Is it cheaper to wrap or paint the truck?

Since the Cybertruck is stainless steel, painting it is a different process to painting normal cars. Vinyl wraps will be much safer and more affordable than painting it.

Does DIY wrapping void the warranty?

Not at all! Vinyl can be easily removed. Elon Musk also mentioned that vinyl wrap is the best way to go personalize your Cybertruck, so wraps will NOT void the warranty.
